Columbus-The rumours have become reality in Columbus about the Blue Jackets actually going out and bringing in a big name player, that player Jason Allison. Heading to the desert are winger Nils Ekman and defencemen Jaroslav Spacek. G.M. Graeme Dickson admits that it was hard to let two guys that were to be top guys on the Jackets go but Allison was worth the risk.
"Allison can be an absolute dynamo in this league if he can stay healthy, hopefully after the full season off he'll be 100% and ready to compete night in and night out." Stated Dickson on Allison's health. "Can you imagine this 1st line Nash-Allison-Zherdev, now that is a top line, and Allison is still young, so a line for years to come."
Jason Allison was reached for comment briefly.
"Well going to Columbus I know I'll be playing lots of minutes and have pressure on me to perform right away, they gave away two solid players to obtain me," noted the centremen on the trade."
