Columbus, Ohio (AP)-
Burkholder is back and was dressed in black when he was introduced into the OTHL for the second time. He was fired from division rival Detroit earlier due to being stuck for a prior engagement. The Jackets management went out quickly and made the move and hired Burkholder for the top spot.
“I’m happy to be back in the OTHL, we got some work to do, and yeah we have inherited a couple large contracts in Rivet, and McDonald but we believe they will deliver on their side. If they do our club will have a solid season. Right now we are the worst team in the league and we will be working hard to change that.”, said GM Burkholder
The Jackets have four points in eleven games. True it is still pretty early but will they be able to pull something together? Only time will tell of course.
GM Burkholder was asked about his prior situation in Detroit,
“Well the new ownership there made a couple good moves and really pulled the club together, we just built the foundation, and Mr. Domino hit the ball out of the park with rest of the club.”
