It has been reported that the Columbus Blue Jackets have made an astronomical deal with an undisclosed western conference team. The deal is said to involve three or four players with considerations. Those are the only things that are known in the deal, although it has been reported Columbus may be picking up salary. When asked to comment on the pending trade Columbus GM Graeme Dickson made no indication of who would be packing.
"A deal was reached, and we will be receiving something good, who is gone will not be known until it is approved by the league," said Dickson with a smile.
Sources from Columbus are citing a possible deal with Edmonton, in which Mike York and Marc-Andre Bergeron plus future considerations in exchange for Nikolai Zherdev, however all of this is rumoured and not known for sure.
