OTHL - - - The 2006 trade deadline Monday started with a bang as the Tampa Bay Lightning traded up and coming superstar Jason Spezza to the calgary Flames in exchange for Daniel and Henrik Sedin. The two teams also exchanged a couple of draft picks in the trade.

Jason Spezza was acquired by Tampa Bay in 2004 from the Ottawa Senators in exchange for Brad Richards and Darren McCarthy. Last season he had 43 points and in 83 games. This season has been a big improvmen for Spezza as he has 22 goals and 47 assists for 69 points with 10 games left to play this season. He was also a team high +29 for Tampa Bay.

Daniel and Henrik Sedin has not put up the same kind of numbers that Spezza has. So far this season, Daniel Sedin has recorded 12 goals and 35 points and a -6 rating while his brother has just 7 goals and 19 points.

Both Tampa and Calgary are around $2 million dollars below the $50 million dollar cap, so the question is will these two teams make any more deals. Or was this it from them?
