OTHL -- The big guns sure get around in the OTHL. No player is secret in the league, everyone are up for trades. First we saw Vancouver move guys like Todd Bertuzzi and Markus Näslund. Pittsburgh joined in on the fun and traded away there heart and soul, Mario Lemieux. Lemieux who was traded to Los Angeles, has some big name teammates as both Nicklas Lidström and Jaromir Jagr have also found there way to Hollywood. But despite big names, the Kings are off to a shaky start, just one game over .500.
But the big name player that has moved around most this season, is defender Chris Pronger. Pronger who started the season with the Blues, where not in the teams rebuilding plans, so he was soon shiped off to Florida and the Panthers. But he did not last long in south florida, insted he was traded to Phoenix Coyotes. A team where he last almost 2 months, before todays trade to Pittsburgh.
Pronger have just scored 2 points in 7 games this season. Not numbers that go down easy when you have a salary like Chris Pronger. So the question is, will he last long in Pittsburgh? or will he be shiped out when the phone rings and the gm on the other line are wondering if the all-star defender is available...
And yesterday it was announced that Peter Forsberg will continue his career in the OTHL, playing for Phoneix Coyotes. The Swedish center who has been part of the Colorado Avalanche, ever since they where the Quebec Nordiques will now join good friend Markus Näslund in Phoenix for the quest of yet another cup win.
