It has been learned that the Columbus Blue Jackets have shipped Andrew Cassels to the defending Stanley Cup Champion Tampa Bay Lightning. The trade creates quite a hole at the centre position for the Jackets, however G.M. Graeme Dickson appears optimistic that a replacement will be found.
Coming back to the Jackets is defensemen Ric Jackman, who finished the year very strongly tallying 26 points in 27 games. The Jackets hope Jackman continues to blossom this season as he will be counted on to become a top 4 defensemen for them.
