Minnesota has long since realized their playoff dreams for the season were terminated but considering the youth and inexperience on the team, they refuse to go out quietly as the New Jersey Devils found out today losing 6 - 4 to a more than enthusiastic Wild club.
The term spoilers is definately in the vocabulary here in Minnesota coach Paul Maurice is heard to be stated. We do not have big time millionaires on this club, we don't have big time numbers amongst the league. What we do have is big heart and big effort coming from some of the brightest talent in the league for the next 15 years and it has been coming out in spurts lately.
I think a realistic goal is to try to obtain a playoff possibility in the upcoming season and as we mature to become a playoff powerhouse for seasons to come.
This season though we guarantee to be the team each GM in the league will curse who plays us if we are taken to lightly. Better come to play cause these kids play for passion right now not the money.
