Rejoice! Florida Panthers have finally acquired there 2nd line center who will hopefully get this teams offense out of a season long slump. Mike Modano along with couple picks was acquired from Montreal Canadiens for Christopal Huet and Andreas Karlsson.
Modano brings Panthers a strong 1-2 punch down the middle with Joe Thornton. Panthers GM has said that to succeed in OTHL you need a strong 1-2 punch down the middle. Since dealing Doug Weight the Panthers offense has been awful. Without Roberto Luongo's MVP season the Panthers would be long gone from the playoff picture. Panthers hope Mike Modano will get Rick Nash out of slump.
"I'm very happy to join JL team. We've had alot success before when we have worked together. Im very excited to get a chance to play once again for his team" Mike Modano
"Mike was our prime target. I'm happy we were able to bring him along eventho it meant sacrificing Bryan Allen and waiving few other players" Panthers GM
