OTHL -- Only three games took place today in the OTHL, but with some interesting results. The Buffalo Sabres continue to play poorly, after having made some changes in an effort to stop the skid, the team still lost today. The Ducks proved to be to tough, and the Sabres lost 4-2 on away ice. Buffalo has now lost 3 straight games and are 1 game below .500.
In Atlanta the Thrashers recorded there third straight win, as they beat Carolina 6-3. A win that gives Atlanta a 5-4-1 record so far this season, and they are now only 1 point behind the East leading Florida Panthers. In Boston the Flames scored once and that was enough to get them the win. Scott Mellanby (1) got his first of the season, and the Flames now moved past Chicago in the Western Conference standings.
