OTHL -- Alexander Ovechkin, herald as one of the best Russian's ever to lace on a pair of skates, made his OTHL debut tonight. But the 20 year old Ovechkin, who arrived in Chicago just hours before the game, did not see much ice time. Chicago's head coach Ted Nolan, limited the talented Russian to only a couple shifts, and a total of 2 minutes of ice time. But that did not stop the Hawks from getting a 2-0 win over the Red Wings. Dan Cloutier who has been stellar in the last couple of games in net for the Hawks, made 24 save for his first shutout this season. Yesterday Cloutier made 44 saves in a 4-4 tie with Boston.

In Denver the visiting Florida crushed the home team 8-3. All eight Florida goals was scored by different players. Adam Foote, Steve Konowalchuk, Jarome Iginla, Rick Nash, Darcy Tucker, Doug Weight, Dave Andreychuk and Peter Forsberg all found the Avs net tonight. Adrian Aucoin assisted on 3 of the goals. For the home team Eric Cole, John-Michael Liles and Michael Nylander scored. Eric Cole had a rough night, as he was -5 for the night.
