OTHL -- Thanks to a 4-1 win over the New Jersey Devils, the Phoenix Coyotes became the 6th team in the OTHL to official make the playoffs. Despite there loss, the New Jersey Devils has still clinched the Atlantic Division, the toughest division in the league. Florida are this years Southeast Division champions, while Detroit are the Central Division champions.

And with just 6 games left to play in the 2004-05 regular season, the fight in the two conferences over playoff spots are still ongoing. In the west, 6 teams are whitin 5 points. From 11th placed Dallas with 70, to 5th placed San Jose with 75 points.

In the east a simular scenario is played out, as 5 teams are fighting over two playoff positions. 6h placed Toronto are on safer ground right now thanks to a string of good games. But behind them a dog fight is ongoing where Buffalo and Tampa Bay now have the upper hand over Montreal, Atlanta and Ottawa. But Atlanta is one of the hottest teams in the league with 7 wins in there last 10, and they are just 3 points behind 8th placed Tampa Bay. So it looks like it will be a fight until the last game in the two conferences.
