The stars made 2 minor moves. Nothing to change how we have played, winning the last 3 games.
move #1 with Colorado
the Stars aquired young blueliner Kurt Sauer who has high expectations througout the league. The stars have high hopes for him. Also the Stars recieved Travis Brigley who has been a minor leaguer his whole carreer, but a good carreer at that. Lastly the Stars got a 3rd rd pick next season which is always nice to have.
On their way out of Dallas is dman Lubomir Sekeras who plyed 5 games and is too old for the organization, at 36. also the Stars lost Fernando Pisani who the stars loved on their 4tgh line but you give something to receive something. and the Colorado recived a 5th rder in 06.
Move #2 with Anaheim
After losing Pisani on our 4th line we picked up Nikalas Sundstrom who has nice df ratings and can chip in with some offense. Along with Sundstrom the stars got a Was 8th. On theitr way out is Mathias Tarnqvist who has yet played a game but may turn into a decent depth guy, just have no room for him in Dallas. Aswell propsect Tomi maki packing his bags for Anaheim
Dal gm shane jooris had this to say after the deadline:
" We had alot of talks with several teams but there were just too many buyers and not enough sellers.. thats what you get when there are some tight races for the playoffs.
" We are happy with the way our team has been playing since aquiring Redden and Bure from Ottawa, and didnt see any reason to make a change and mess things up with the chemistry.
