Columbus Wheeling and Dealing? Zherdev Gone?

Graeme Dickson

GM, Columbus Blue Jackets

Columbus-It has been reported that two of the Columbus Blue Jackets best players have been dealt by G.M. Graeme Dickson. Rumours are flying around that Nikolai Zherdev could very well be apart of one of the deals, however the Blue Jackets organization has neglected to comment on the trades. According to one source the Blue Jackets have shipped the skilled young right winger to the Black Hawks. While it has not been confirmed by the Columbus or Chicago organizations, it is believed that Tuomo Ruutu may be apart of the deal, that may contain more then just those two players.
"We have made a couple deals yes, but we will not say at this present time which players have been traded, and to which team we have dealt with," stated Dickson. "When the trade is approved and processed by the league, we will hold a press conference."

The other reported deal took place with the Pittsburgh Penguins. It appears the Jackets have shipped off centremen Todd Marchant in exchange for Milan Kraft, a prospect from this years draft, and a mid range draft pick for next year. Again however the Jackets organization has refused to comment on the truth of this deal.
"We have talked numerous times about different players, but as of right now I will not comment on any completed deals, if any!" said Graeme Dickson.
