OTHL NEWS AGENCY -- The Colorado Avalanche decided to relieved Tony Granato from his head coaching duties on Wednesday. Taking over as head coach is Peter Laviolette. Laviolette was relieved from the head coach position in Carolina just a couple weeks ago.
"I was hoping to get back as a head coach this season in the OTHL, but I never thought I was going to get a new job this quick. I am very excited, this is a top team in the league with some great players on the roster. I am looking forward to lead this team to a long playoff run. With a team like Colorado, your goal cannot be anything else then the cup." - Peter Laviolette said on the press conference today.
