Friction between Ottawa and Alfredsson?

Alex Snyder

GM, Ottawa Senators

General Manager Alex Snyder of the Ottawa Senators, according to rumours wants Daniel Alfredsson gone from his team.

Gone.

It's a shock to Senators fans. No one really knows if this rumour is true. No one really knows if it's not true. The Ottawa Senator Organization has declined to comment. Daniel Alfredsson has failed to comment. When we caught GM Alex on his way out of the office, he declined to speak. What has Alfredsson done to deserve to leave the Senators? He led the Senators in scoring this year in the OTHL season. He captained the team. He makes 6.5m or so for the next couple of years.

He also has a No Trade Clause.

Apparantly Alex has had several very good offers for Alfredsson, the problem is that Alfredsson has the dreaded No Trade Clause, and has vetoed every move that Alex wanted to make. There also may be rumoured personal differences between Alfredsson and Alex, as rumours say that during a team meeting Alfredsson threw a wine glass at Alex barely missing Alex's head, and later called him a "dumb piece of **** (cannot print swearing in this prestigious newspaper)". Alfredsson denied doing any of this, but when asked about Alex he slammed his car door and drove off in a fury.

However these are all rumours. Nothing has been confirmed by anyone.
Daniel won't comment. Alex won't comment.

Is Alfredsson on the way out?
