OTHL Makes Organizational Moves

BATON ROUGE, LA, (OTHL) -- The OTHL league management has taken drastic steps now that the offseason is upon us, and asked for 8 GM's to resign. The league is looking forward to a strong 2007-2008, and wanted to make the changes now, rather than wait farther into the offseason schedule.

"We felt is was necesary for the good of the league to do this. There were some good guys we had to let go, so it wasn't easy. Some took it very professionaly, others did not. The majority of them are welcome back should they want to come back and have time to devote to the league. It is better off for everyone when all 30 general managers are all active. It makes it fun for everyone. This past season, it just seemed like it was the same 15 guys posting and talking all the time. A league will not be around long if that continues, and thus, why we made the move. This also should go out as a warning to the rest of the GM's, and the new ones. The bottom line is, the league will be better off." said commissioner Jason Fisher.

The following teams are looking for new GM's:

COLORADO
DETROIT
LOS ANGELES
PHOENIX

The league has begun evaluating applications, and the new GM's could be in place as early as the end of the week.
