OTHL -- And so has it happend again... Chris Pronger has been traded. The most traded player in the OTHL history has been moved again. 29 year old Pronger was traded from Edmonton Oilers to the Nashville Predators in exchange for Ed Jovanovski and two prospects. Pronger, who was acquired by the Oilers not long ago, will now put on a new jersey for the 10th time since the OTHL started. He has now played for St Louis, Florida, Phoenix, Pittsburgh, Atlanta, Detroit, New York Islanders, Los Angeles, Atlanta (again), Edmonton and now Nashville. Or rather, one should maybe not say "played", as Pronger has been moved so often that he has not played for all the teams.
"I said it when I was traded to Los Angeles, that I hoped to stick around for a while on the same team." - Pronger said looking less them amused. "But since then I have been traded three times, and I am really feed up with this. I can tell you that I will look for a long term deal with a no-trade clause in my next contract. I don't want to be traded any more. I want to play for one team for more then one season. Just like I did in the NHL with the St Louis Blues. This is just silly!"
If he is not traded again before the regular season starts, Pronger will anchor the Predators blueline with some help from fellow veterans Aaron Miller, Jassen Cullimore and Brad Norton. Nashville also has youngsters Jeff Jillson, Dan Hamhuis and Dave Hale on the blueline.
