OTHL -- One of the bigger trades in this years off-season took place today as Alexei Yashin was traded to Detroit Red Wings from Dallas. Detroit gave up Anson Carter, Mattias Norström, Steve Reinprecht, $2.5 million dollars and future considerations for the russian top center and defender Branislav Mezei.
Detroit acquired Yashin in an effort to replace Jason Allison, who right now is looking like he will retire from professional hockey.
Another big story in the OTHL happend a couple of days ago when all-star defender Rob Blake signed for the Atlanta Thrashers.
