The Chicago Blackhawks would like to adress the rumors that has started to appear in several media outlets regarding a "powerstruggle" between owner Bill Wirtz and general manager Mathias Vaigur. This rumor is untrue, and is based on false information from someone who wants to distrubt the current managment. According to the rumors, the Chicago Blackhawks owner Bill Wirtz where no happy with the ongoing rebuild of the team.
"No doubt about it. Wirtz is not a fan of rebuilding, he wants his team in the playoffs" - Said the source. A statment that is untrue. Bill Wirtz is 100% behind the teams general manager Mathias Vaigur in his process of rebuilding the Chicago Blackhawks. Even if it involves trades of key players.
"The statment given by someone who don't want to show his name. Is not true, the owner and the rest of the managment staff is behind me in this process of rebuilding the team for the future. Everyone involved know's its a process that could take some time, but everyone are onboard with that." - GM Mathias Vaigur.
