NASHVILLE, (CO) -- The Hawks are in country land to face the Nashville Predators in the 6th pre-season game for the Hawks. The Hawks are 1-4-0 so far in the pre-season, not showing any signs that they would have anything to do with a playoff spot in the upcoming season. But they are still preaching patience and that the team is in test mode for the upcoming season. "We are working on line combinations and so forth. We see no reason to win games in the pre-season, and then come out in the regular season and lose. We rather do it the opposite way, lose in the pre-season and win in the regular season. But everyone have to remember that this is a young team, and we are not gunning for top places just yet. We are taking it step by step." - Brian Sutter said.
The Hawks are expected to ice the following lineup today:
Kyle Calder - Brett McLean - Marcus Nilson
Mark Bell - Tyler Arnason - Pavel Vorobiev
Travis Moen - Scott Nichol - Eric Nickulas
Richard Scott - Mikail Yakubov - Steve Webb
Deron Quint - Tom Preissing
Jim Vandermeer - Denis Gauthier
Jonathan Aitken - Brian Pothier
Jocelyn Thibault
Note that Thibault will get his first start this pre-season. So far Leighton and Anderson has split the time in net. But now Thibault will get some games under his belt to warm up for the regular season.
