Sharks aquire Zubrus and Isbister

In deal that went down a few days ago, the San Jose Sharks aquired Dainius Zubrus and Brad Isbister in exchange for Alyn McCauley, Patrick Rissmiller, and a 3rd round pick in 2006. General Manager Ryan Schnell feels that this is a step forward for the club. "Zubrus is a big man and he is slated to provide a physical presence on the 2nd line." The 6'4" 226 pounder from Russia already has 7 NHL seasons under his belt, yet is still only 26 years old. Brad Isbister is another big man who is penciled in on the 3rd line. Isbister brings a power forward menalitiy that is needed on the Sharks. Schnell hopes that Isbister can reach his potential while playing in teal. With this deal the Sharks have filled their need for bigger and physical forwards.
