The Phoenix Coyotes announce that Tom Renney has been named coach of the Phoenix Coyotes to replace Rick Bowness who was fired today.
"The reason that we chose Tom Renney for the job, is that we felt that he is good young talent and this is the direction we want to go in. We also feel that he is the best man to help our young talent win." GM Jay Lewis announced at a phone conference from his home in New York City.
"We feel that Tom has brought a wealth of knowledge and a tremendous work ethic to this organization and we all hope that his work ethic will rub off on some of the players." The Coyotes has signed Tom Renney to a $1,500,000 for 2 years.
