Jonathan Toews finally arrives in the OTHL. The 19 year old kid will probably have his first game tonight for the Carolina Hurricanes. He signed an entry level contract for the next 3 years with the highest rookie salary of 850.000 $.
"We are happy that he has decided to sign with us now. We will use him on the 2nd line and he will also see some Powerplay ice", said GM Matt Kaminski. After the Hurricanes traded away topscorer Eric Staal it was expected, that a signing of Toews was in the working.
"We believe this kid will be a franchise guy for years to come. He is so skilled", added Kaminski.
