STOCKHOLM, (OTHL) --- The Western Conference will have Joe Sakic as there captain, and they will also have a rookie in the lineup as San Jose Sharks Evgeni Malkin made it to the all-star game. Malkin who has scored 14 goals and 29 points this season, will now get a chance to play next to Joe Sakic, Alex Tanguay and Doug Weight at the all-star game in Dallas. Ted Nolan who will coach the western conference all-star team, never hesitated over picking Malkin to the game.
"Malkin is a young player with a very bright future in this league. And he has showed that with 29 points so far this season. I think he will do great at the game." - Coach Nolan said. Nolan was also asked if he will put Alexander Ovechkin and Evgeni Malkin on the same line during the game. "I would say that is a good chance it will happend. They are two dyamic players, who are excellent puck handlers."
