OTHL - - - The NY Islanders had a 18.8% chance of winning the lottery, and when ball number 3724 jumped out of the machine. Those precentage became true. The NY Islanders won the lottery, and will draft first overall in the 2006 entry draft. Minnesota, Anaheim, NY Islanders and St Louis were the only teams in with a shot for the first overall pick. And after a couple minutes of suspens, the winners were the Islanders.
New York Islanders also hold pick number 7, 10 and 11. Plus another pick in the first round, witch original belonged to the Columbus Blue Jackets. The number on that pick will not be determind until after the playoffs. The order of the first 14 picks can be found below.
