OTHL - - - The Boston Bruins got a much needed win today as they edged out New Jersey in overtime. The game was scoreless in the first two periods, with both goaltenders showing why they are among the upper echelon of goalies in the OTHL. Then halfway into the third, Petr Sejna (1) scored his first for the season. Giving the Devils a 1-0 lead infront of the home fans. Dave King took a timeout to get his Bruins sorted, and it worked as the Bruins piled on some pressure and with five minutes to play, Mark Recchi (21) banged home a onetimer behind Martin Brodeur. And in the overtime, it was Sergei Fedorov (22) giving the W to Boston with a gamewinning goal.

The Kings and the Stars have a little rivalry going, and while the Stars are topping the Pacific Division, they cannot buy a win against the Kings. With tonights 3-2 win, the Kings are 4-1-0 against Dallas this season with 3 games left to play. And they could very well meet each other in the playoffs too. Colorado and Minnesota played today in Minnesota, a game between two teams whos seasons have gone downhill. Both teams had high hopes going into the season, but both find themselfs outside looking in on the playoffs right now. And no winner came out of todays game, as it ended in a 2-2 tie. Bouchard (13) and Rivers (2) got the home goals, while Colorado got there two goals from Pisani (7) and Zhamnov (18).

One of the leagues mystery teams are the Montreal Canadiens. After a great start, they fell outside of the playoffs. But now they have worked there way into the same again, and today they beat Columbus 3-1 on home ice. The Habs first line with Demitra, Palffy and Modano where the master minds behind the win today. Palffy and Modano picked up two points each, while Demitra was involved in all 3 goals as he scored twice (14,15) and assisted on a goal from Nagy (15). The Blue Jackets lone goal was a powerplay goal in the third from Milan Kraft (10).

A team that has gotten a lot of press of late, are the Nashville Predators. And they keep playing worthy of the hype. Today they took out the Edmonton Oilers in a highscoring battle. The Predators got goals from 6 different players as they won 6-4 infront of the home fans. And it was the unsung heros that got the work done today. Dan Hamhuis picked up 4 points and Mikael Samuelsson assisted on 3 goals. On the other side of the ice Koivu and Kovalev got 3 points each. But it was not enough and while Nashville is flying into safer ground in the West. The Oilers are losing ground in the playoff battle. Edmonton are right now 5 points behind 8th placed Phoenix. And Phoenix has 2 games in hand on Edmonton.
